Sunday School
The Sunday School classes are
dismissed following the Children’s Message in
the worship service. Once they are dismissed,
the children then divide into groups according
to class. Currently, the classes are divided
as:
Kindergarten & 1st Grade 2nd & 3rd Grades 4th & 5th Grades 6th & 7th Grades
Along with the education of our children in the Christian faith,
the Staff of the Sunday School also provides fellowship opportunities.
As an example, here are few activities that the Sunday School holds:
“Welcome Back” Picnic in September to signal the
start of Sunday School CROP Walk Halloween Party Parade Christmas Program Valentine’s for Shut-Ins Easter Egg Hunt Children’s Day Program in May
Confirmation Classes
While Confirmation is not a Sacrament within the
Reformed Church, it does serve as an important step in the
“life process” for our students. Upon entering
the 8th Grade, all students are
invited to take part in this important step to
becoming “Adult Communicant Members” of the
church.
Classes start in October and end with
Confirmation on Pentecost Sunday. Classes are
held on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the
month and are led by Pastor Steve.
Topics of discussion include:
Overview of the Bible
Reformed Church Studies Reformed Church Liturgy & Worship
The Heidelberg Catechism
Upon completion of their studies,
students meet with the Board of Elders and are
asked a variety of questions to show the
progress that has been made. Students also make
individual red stoles (which are on worn on
Pentecost Sunday) and often depict symbols of
what they have learned throughout the year.
